About this range
Cut to the unit, not draped over it
The range covers front-loader and top-loader washing machines, portable and standby generators, and walk-behind lawnmowers, each cut to the footprint of the unit rather than draped loosely over it. Fabric is the same UV-stabilised, water-resistant, breathable weave used across the Covergard range, so a cover works just as well on a generator standing outside as it does on a washing machine in a laundry. Anything outside the standard sizes, from tumble dryers to bar fridges, is a made-to-measure job.
Appliance Covers questions
Can I cover a generator straight after running it?
No. Let the engine and exhaust cool to the touch first, the same rule that applies to a braai. The fabric tolerates warmth but is not made to sit against a hot exhaust, and covering a warm engine traps moisture-laden air against the block. Cover it once it has cooled and the breathable weave lets the last of the residual moisture out.
Will an appliance cover survive standing outside all year?
Yes. The fabric is UV-stabilised against the sun and water-resistant against rain, which is the same specification as our patio and vehicle covers. For a machine that lives permanently outdoors, fit the cover on a dry unit and rinse the cover down every few months so dust does not grind into the weave.
Do you make covers for tumble dryers, fridges or other machines?
